We’re thrilled to announce the return of our much-loved Cotswold Sweet Hay for 2025 – and it’s fresher than ever!
With dry weather continuing to hold strong, we made the most of the sunshine and got the tractors rolling. That’s right – harvest 2025 is officially underway, and leading the charge is the first cut of Cotswold Sweet. After a long wait, it’s a huge relief (and a real joy!) to see this favourite hay back in full form.
While we’ve kept some of last year’s crop aside for our loyal subscribers and smaller box orders, Cotswold Sweet is now available to purchase again in full-size 5kg and 10kg boxes. We're lifting the purchase limit for now, so you can stock up while our remaining 2024 stock lasts.
What Makes Cotswold Sweet Hay So Special?
Known for its texture, sweet smell, and high quality, Cotswold Sweet Hay is one of our most popular cuts – and for good reason. It’s perfect for rabbits, guinea pigs, and other small pets who enjoy foraging through long, coarse strands of fresh, fragrant hay.
The 2025 crop is already looking promising: long, coarse, and a vibrant green. It’s a true sign of the quality you can expect from this year’s harvest. Despite a lack of rain in spring making the crop a little less dense than usual, the quality remains superb. As always, freshness is key – and this hay is coming in straight from the field to the barn.
A Quick Note on Packaging
At the moment, we’re temporarily out of plastic wrap for our 4kg bales, so if you place an order for a 4kg bale, it will arrive as 2 x 2kg bales. This helps us ensure your hay stays as fresh as possible while we wait on new packaging supplies.
What’s Next?
We expect the 2025 Cotswold Sweet Hay to be available for general sale soon – we’ll keep you updated as soon as the new batch comes out of the barn. For now, grab what’s left of the 2024 harvest while you can!
