Orchard Hay is an excellent donation choice for animal sanctuaries, offering a gentle, palatable hay that is particularly valuable for rescues caring for animals that are stressed, underweight, or reluctant to eat on arrival.

Thanks to the incredible success of our Christmas Rescue Box Appeal in 2023, we were able to support so many rescues in need. Sadly, many of our favourite rescues are still struggling with rising costs, so we've relaunched our Rescue Box Appeal to help provide hay, forage, and essentials to the animals who need it most.

We've selected a few partner rescues to support, and these will rotate throughout the year, ensuring more rescues benefit from your generosity.

💡 If you add other products to your basket, those items will be shipped to your own address unless you let us know in your order notes that they should also be sent to the rescue.

Unlike barn-dried varieties, Orchard Hay is naturally sun-dried in open meadows, giving it a distinctive golden appearance and a mild, sweet scent. It is high in fibre to support healthy digestion and gut health, and its softer strand makes it a gentler option for animals that struggle with coarser hays. For sanctuaries managing animals with varying needs, Orchard Hay works beautifully as part of a mixed hay rotation, encouraging natural foraging behaviour and helping animals that may have had limited or poor quality hay prior to rescue to rebuild healthy eating habits.

We always recommend feeding a variety of hays for a balanced diet. Orchard Hay pairs well with our Pure Timothy or Cotswold Sweet for added nutritional variety.

Our packaging has been sourced with the environment in mind. All boxes are fully recyclable, and our bales are produced from recycled plastic that can also be recycled after use.

Delivery is £4.95 and sent with DPD on a next day trackable service.

When ordering a 5kg or 10kg eco box please ensure you have a dry/sheltered 'safe place' if you are not able to be home for your delivery.
