Pet Care & News

Are you a proud bunny parent looking for ways to keep your furry friends entertained and mentally stimulated? Look no further! We've got some hare-raisingly good forage and enrichment ideas that will have your rabbits hopping with joy. These activities will not only keep your bunnies entertained but also promote their natural instincts and overall well-being. So, let's hop right into it!

1. Bunny Treasure Hunt

Who doesn't love a good treasure hunt? Hide some of your rabbits' favorite treats or toys around their play area and let them sniff out the hidden goodies. It's like an Easter egg hunt, but for bunnies! (Minus the chocolate, of course. Chocolate is a big no-no for our furry friends.)

2. DIY Bunny Puzzle Toys

Give your rabbits a mental workout with some DIY puzzle toys. Take an empty toilet paper roll, cardboard box or one of our seagrass rings and stuff it with hay or their favorite greens. Then, watch as your bunnies go to town, trying to figure out how to get to the tasty treasure inside. It's like a game of "bunny brain teaser"!

3. Bunny Obstacle Course

Set up a mini obstacle course using tunnels, ramps, and even some low jumps. Your bunnies will love exploring and navigating through the course, showcasing their agility and acrobatic skills. Plus, it's a great way to keep them active and burn off some of that bunny energy!

4. Foraging Fun

Rabbits are natural foragers, so why not let them indulge in their foraging instincts? Scatter some fresh herbs or vegetables around their play area and let them graze to their heart's content. It's like a gourmet buffet for bunnies!

Snuffle mats and balls are great ways to encourage foraging as well as our ready made forage boxes.

5. Bunny-Safe Chew Toys

Bunnies love to chew, so provide them with plenty of safe chew toys to keep their teeth in tip-top shape. You can find a variety of bunny-safe chew toys made from natural materials like applewood or willow. It's like a dental spa day for bunnies! We have a variety of bun safe toys including seagrass balls, banana leaf stuffers and lots more.

6. Bunny Hide-and-Seek

Turn playtime into a game of hide-and-seek! Hide behind furniture or use a blanket to create a fort, then pop out and surprise your bunnies. They'll love the thrill of the chase and the joy of finding their favorite human. It's like a game of "now you see me, now you don't"!

We have a number of hides, tunnels and bed on offer to help with a game of hide and seek! These are also good to ensure your bun feels safe in their home, giving them a place to sleep and relax like they would in the wild.

7. Bunny-Safe Digging Box

Rabbits love to dig, so why not give them their own digging box? Fill a shallow container with soil or hay and bury some treats or toys for them to discover. It's like a mini archaeological dig for bunnies!

Remember, while these activities are fun and enriching for your rabbits, always supervise them during playtime to ensure their safety. Now, go ahead and try out these forage and enrichment ideas. Your bunnies will thank you with plenty of binkies and bunny kisses!
